The Outlander is the flagship. It seats up to seven inside a footprint that still fits a normal garage, and for 2026 it switches to a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder paired with a mild-hybrid system, replacing the 2.5-liter engine used through 2025.

The Outlander PHEV is the plug-in version, and 2026 is the year it got interesting. A larger 22.7 kWh battery pushes EPA-estimated electric-only range to 45 miles, up from 38, and combined output climbs to 297 horsepower. For a lot of drivers around here, 45 miles covers a round trip to Wright-Patterson or downtown Dayton without the gas engine ever starting. Total range with a full tank is an EPA-estimated 420 miles.

The Eclipse Cross is the compact crossover of the group. Every 2026 Eclipse Cross comes with Mitsubishi's S-AWC all-wheel drive as standard equipment, not as an upcharge, which matters in an Ohio February.

The Outlander Sport is the entry point. It's the least expensive way into a new Mitsubishi SUV and carries into 2026 largely unchanged.
